Fresh Imports, Gouache on Card. 2018
I was invited to partake in the exhibtion “100 Years, Today’s Woman” by creating work under the themes of; women’s rights, women’s suffrage, intersectional feminism and activism from the perspective of BME women.
The piece I created is a total celebration of what being from Hong Kong means to me and how traditional and modern cultures combine. Using colours and objects that symbolise luck, wealth and happiness, I played around with shapes and humourous double meanings.
